This support article provides information on program enhancements and/or form updates for Certified Payroll Solution and Construction Application for Payment as of 4/1/2014

We do not automatically update your software like Microsoft or Intuit, rather we have provided you with the ability to download program updates at your convenience by going to the Help menu -> and choosing Check for Updates --> select the appropriate version indicated below.  Updates MUST be applied to each computer that the software is installed on.

Construction Application for Payment Solution:

The current update version is 5.0.336

• QuickBooks 2014 & Windows 8.1 compatibility has been available since September 24, 2013 - for more information click here - QuickBooks 2014 is here and we're ready!
• New Quantity and Unit Price (AIA type) form with Engineer instead of Architect and no Notary section
• Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Application for Payment form PA 331
• City of Phoenix Application for Payment form
• BUG FIX:  Plain paper CMA form in the adjustment for Net Changes by Change Order section
• ENHANCEMENT:  Added a View menu option which provides shortcuts to open folders containing Saved Reports and/or Contract Documents.

Certified Payroll Solution:

The current update version is 5.0.599

• Revised Connectictu CC-257 EEOC Report
• NEW MyLCM/Hill International Electronic Upload file format - this is a CSV file and replaces the older/previous XML format.  NOTE:  The MyLCM system is currently being required by various agencies in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska, New York, Washington and Wisconsin.
• New address on the Boston Water & Sewer form - requires downloading the Massachusetts Forms as well
• Adds New York/New Jersey Port Authority Certified Payroll Reporting form - requires downloading the New York - OR - New Jersey forms as well
• Updated Missouri Certified Payroll forms - requires downloading the Missouri forms as well
• Maryland now permits the entry of bona-fide finge benefits by employee and the generation of DLLR electronic upload files
• Updated West Virginia EEO 150 form
• ENHANCEMENT:  Adds a View menu option which provides shortcuts to open folders containing Saved Reports and/or Electronic upload files
• ENHANCEMENT:  New Mass Edit feature for Jobs, Employees, Wages & Deductions - allows for quick verification that these items are set up correctly.  Access the Mass Edit feature from the Lined Data menu --> Mass Edit and choose Jobs, Employees, Wages or Deductions.

*New Digital Certificate*:

Our old software digital certificate expired on March 1, 2014, our most recent software updates for current customers contains our new digital certificate.  QuickBooks will see CAPS and CPS as new programs accessing your data because of this new certificate and will require you to grant permission for the program to access your company data.  

To do this:

1. Login to QuickBooks as the QuickBooks Administrator in single user mode
2. From the Edit menu --> choose Preferences --> scroll to Integrated Applications --> click on the Company Preferences tab --> remove existing entries for Certified Payroll Solution, Construction Application for Payment Solution and/or Wage Manager Solution.  Close the Prefences window and leave QuickBooks running.

Certified Payroll Solution --> choose Run --> Certified Payroll Report -> enter your dates -> QuickBooks will display an Application Certificate window, we recommend that you select the LAST option "Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running" and to select a "User" with sufficient persmission to access payroll and sensitive financial information. Click the Continue and then the Done button.

Wage Manager Solution --> from the Certified Payroll Solution Run menu --> choose Wage Manager --> click the Use Open QuickBooks File button -> QuickBooks will display an Application Certificate window, we recommend that you select the LAST option "Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running" and to select a "User" with sufficient persmission to access payroll and sensitive financial information. Click the Continue and then the Done button.

Construction Application for Payment Solution --> From the File menu -> choose Application for Payment -> enter a VALID invoice number or invoice number range -> QuickBooks will display an Application Certificate window, we recommend that you select the LAST option "Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running" and to select a "User" with sufficient persmission to access billing and sensitive financial information. Click the Continue and then the Done button.
