4/21/10 - Contractor Qualification Statement for QuickBooks
Beginning today existing customers, who have an active Annual Maintenance
Contract for Construction Application for Payment Solution (CAPS) with
Sunburst Software Solutions, Inc., AND have indicated that they wish to test beta versions of the program, will be contacted notifying them that
they can
download an update which features the creation of a Contractor Qualification Statement.
Currently this update is a BETA version which has been tested using Windows XP with Office 2003, Windows Vista with Office 2007, and Windows 7 with a BETA of Office 2010.
To obtain the update, please follow the instructions below:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Start Construction Application for Payment Solution (CAPS).
- Back
Up your CAPS data (Backup & Restore menu -> Enhanced Backup CAPS
data -> if there is no information in the top white box, click the
big ? in the lower right corner, and follow the instructions found in
the program help.) You should be backing up your CAPS data.
- From
the Help menu -> choose Check for Updates - Windows Vista & 7
Users will be prompted to enter the UAC (User Account Control)
password.
- From the Select An Update dropdown menu -> choose Version
5.0.214
(this is a TESTED Beta version). The version number can/will change at
a later date,
just download the next higher version.
- Download additional instructions for installation and use by clicking here.
- Download a sample Contractor Qualification Statement - detailing where each piece of information comes from (great for troubleshooting blank spots), by clicking here.
This enhancement will automate the creation of a Contractor Qualification Statement by using data that has been entered in QuickBooks and then pulled into Construction Application for Payment Soltuion for AIA type billing. Some manual data entry will be required, however, it will be saved for future use and updates which will be required for future submission of the Contractor Qualification Statement.
