Certified Payroll Solution works with QuickBooks® to provide a complete
solution for Union and non-Union contractors.
QuickBooks holds
your employees, customers, jobs, timetracking, and payroll information. Certified
Payroll Solution holds additional information about your employees, jobs, payroll
wage items, and deductions; that QuickBooks doesn't in linked records. Information
in both programs is then merged together to generate the following final reports - without
time consuming duplicate data entry.

In order to successfully use CPS:
- Payroll should be issued weekly* (to follow reporting mandates) using Standard,
Enhanced, Enhanced Plus, or Assisted Payroll.
- You will need to create new payroll items that are more Employee Work Classification specific.
- Add Project information to the "Ship To" Address block of the QuickBooks Job Record.
- Employee hours must be entered through the QuickBooks Weekly Timesheet.
*CPS can handle bi-weekly payroll, it will report the full amount of the paycheck on the certified
payroll reports - in most cases a statement in the Remarks section on the Statement of
Compliance will suffice.
